一覺醒來，天還是黑的，沒有表，也不知幾點，大概是淩晨5點，悄悄的穿衣，悄悄的穿鞋，悄悄的開門，生怕驚醒了8個師兄弟們。沿著誌丹縣二道街，踩著紅色的沙土颯颯作響，向河邊走去，街上沒有一個人，好像在夢遊一樣。穿過文化館的北牆，穿過河邊的馬路，就到了周河，對麵的山頂閃著三顆垂直的星星，我知道那是有名的三星。我對著寒冷的空氣發出狼一樣的嚎叫，這就是吊嗓子。我倒嘇了，就是聲音變得又粗又低，任憑我鬼哭狼嚎也不可能好了，我知道，我是瞎子點燈白費蠟，天事已儘，人事了心。

天麻麻亮，就是回劇團的時候了，進門第一件事，就是把一個雞蛋打在碗裡，用筷子攪勻，衝到食堂，用滾燙的水衝一碗，喝光它，這是我一天唯一的補品。接著正式的練功開始，壓腿，要把頭碰倒腳，踢腿，要踢到鼻子，走身架，要有亮相，犀牛望月，霧裡雲手，平臂拉架，轉身臥魚。倒立拿頂，下腰折腰，側翻虎條，紮毽子，翻小翻，不到位者馬鞭伺候。
終於到了9點吃早飯的時候。小米蒸的乾飯，酸菜醬油熬的土豆泥，天天如此，永不變味。二兩米飯，一勺土豆酸菜，味道不好，實在養人！10點，神仙老師出場了，開始排戲了，樂隊配合著，板鼓，板胡，二胡，揚琴，三玄，把世上的好人壞人演繹的活靈活現！我一直不明白，老師們不練功，各個武藝高強，能文能武，神仙一個。
