從誌丹向南，進入延安第一個見到的是棗園，路邊的棗樹綠色的葉子還嫩著哪，棗園門前成群的人打扮的一如過年的秧歌服，男的是白色的毛巾紮在頭頂，露出兩個羊角，羊皮背心，黑色的大襠褲，布鞋黑灰，女的大紅的綢緞清朝的百褶裙，頭上的紅花比不過臉蛋蛋的紅彤彤！都在走十字步，扭著秧歌步，在鑼鼓聲的震天動地的伴隨下，歡天喜地的，發自內心的喜悅把延安的精神散發的一覽無餘！
過了楊家嶺，那個紅軍開會的大禮堂，繞過鳳凰山，寶塔山橫空出世，紅紅的寶塔山上的灰白的色寶塔，陽光打在寶塔的一個側麵，如鍍金一樣！下麵橫著灰白色的是延河橋，橋兩邊是綠色的垂柳，藍天，延河水清澈無比，沒有比這更美更神聖的風景了！

神聖的寶塔，我，楊帆，來了！我激動萬分，我來了，到了延安，步行十裡向南，找到513醫院，順著背麵的山路，在山頂的附近有一排半倒塌的房子邊，那是部隊廢棄的營房！見到了校長李思明，延安報社的美編，辭職當了校長，訴苦說房子塌了咋辦？楊帆說，壘起來。找山泉水！拔枯草！和泥！找廢棄的殘磚爛瓦！楊帆帶領同學把牆壘砌。有了教室，有了駐地！就這樣，楊帆當了學校的班長。晚上，我借了一把手風琴，拉出莫斯科的晚上，這一刻，仿佛我在天堂！
第一幅畫，是素描圓球，我畫的飛快，就好像有人在我後麵追我一樣！幾筆圓球下麵的台布，幾筆木桌的方硬！圓球，就畫一個大大的句號！轉身一看，哇塞！同學們隻是畫一個圓球，有高光，淺灰，交界線，暗麵，反光，邊沿線，陰影的立體的圓球！我第一次畫素描得了全班倒數第一！同學們對著我的素描畫笑得個個前仰馬翻！
